I began listening to Baroque music many years ago and tried writing in that style but without much success. In 2012, I began studying it in depth. I bought the Session Strings Pro sample library and soon completed my first piece inspired by Vivaldi and Corelli.

There is much room for improvement and much to learn, but overall I'm happy with how things are progressing.

This is an adaptation for strings of the fourth movement from the fifth cello sonata by Benedetto Marcello. I took the cello part, raised it an octave, and gave it to the first violins. I then wrote accompanying parts for the second violins, violas, cellos, and basses.
